I'm gearing up to update the wiring and ignition components on a '73 Eldo. I tried to fit the Flame Thrower coil and found that it is slightly larger than stock and the bracket doesn't fit without modification. The M6? bolt is too short and the bracket tangs do not align with the frame tabs. Before I modify the stock bracket, I wanted to see what others have done to make the swap. Am I missing something obvious here?

I think I just bought a longer screw and went with the oem bracket. I may have elongated one of the bracket mounting holes too. I hate boogering stuff up but in my defense I didn't realize a I could have bought the appropriate bracket.

FWIW, Ive had a flamethrower coil on my loop for about 10 years, its been excellent, but I cant for the life of me remember how I mounted it! I dont recall buying any bracket, I must have modified what was there.

Depending on what the original coil was, sometimes the Flame Thrower is too big to fit and other times too small. :azn:

Thanks Charlie! I didn't realize they had a bracket available. Much appreciated.
