Title: T-3 about back on the road.
Post by: Gliderjohn on July 07, 2023, 11:45:41 AM
Have all the damage repaired or replaced now. Still need to finish final securing of the fairing and put the new mirrors on. RT rear turn signal not working, need to figure that one out. Have a date next week back at the body shop to get the new windscreen on and some final buffing. That is basically all that is left.
I still have some pain in my thumbs and my left lower rear end and upper rear of leg still do not like sitting in most chairs or seats for more than about 45 minutes at a time.

The bike looks fantastic, John! Its good to hear you and the bike are healing up well. I dig the paint job, how the graphics flow through it. Very cool!   :thumb:

Bike healed faster than you did, almost always the case. Hope all goes well on 1st ride, no shimmy or shake.

Not too concerned. I had to ride 64 miles back to the rally after the wreck and then another 60 miles the next day to where my wife had the pickup. Everything seemed fine concerning handling and ride. Tough bike, me not so much.

Jeez that looks damn nice.
Very tastefully done, should have been built that way.
Did you consider adding a VERY small up sweep to the mufflers to complement the line of the seat ?
But again, the whole bike just….Flows. :thumb:

Looks really good, John!!  You'll heal up, just give it some time.    :thumb:

Took it out for the first time since the wreck this morning for about 25 miles. Fairing on but no windscreen. Rode through some fairly curvy areas and on a straight ran it up to about 75 indicated. No handling problems or concerns that I could notice. Up to 60 or so was kind of nice for a change not having the windscreen. Stopped by the local coffee shop. Couple bikes you don't see everyday.
