Hello folks, I am installing a pair of spot lights to the crash bar of my convert,and would like to use the toggle switch on the left lower side of the dashboard, to switch them on and off via a relay. my question is where do I find the connector that is associated with that toggle switch? On the wiring diagram I see a yellow wire and a black wire coming off that switch that I assume is hooked up to nothing. Would it be inside the speedometer cluster, or somewhere under the gas tank?

Yes, inside the speedo housing/"dash" and hooked to nothing. You'll need to run power to it from somewhere (switched terminal on the fuse block?).

As Charlie said but I use relays to help save switch gear, I use the small 25 amp nippon denso as used in suzuki cars, dont have a pic of my convert relays but heres one of my V7 sport all three for high low and spot dont take up much space. Ray

That "Light" switch on the dash powers up my Kuryakyn battery gauge and also my LED spot lights. No relay, because the load is minimal. If one uses halogen lights, then a relay is definitely a good idea, as is not using anything higher than 35 watts each. That is, unless one has upgraded the charging system to something like EME's 450 watt alternator.

Thanks for the information,and advice, Guys. I plan to install LED spots that only draw about 10 watts each.

I have one of those Jeep LED Halo Headlights in my Convert. The Halo has 2 colors white and amber. I have the little switch connected to the white halo, and the amber is triggered by the Horn.
I will eventually put driving LED's on the Convert, but haven't found ones that I like enough.

The headlight looks good, Bulldog9 ! How do you like the light pattern? How difficult was it to adapt to the Convert headlight housing? I did something similar to my Griso, when I had it, but the adaptation was pretty fidgety, to get it to fit.

Timely - I’m on the cusp of putting 7” LED strips on my Convert crash bars. I’ve done the ThisOldTractor relay rewires to coils/headlights/horns so will use the green and brown wires in bucket with diodes to supply 12v to the “Light” toggle.

I've yet to ride it at night (hanging head in shame') But it is aligned 'to be seen' while riding in daylight. :evil: The Jeep LED's came as a pair for about $45. This one is 3 years old. Super low drain. I have a volt meter and high/low/halo have virtually NO impact on voltage. Was a painless easy install. I have a new bucket and ring from MG cycle. Went in without issue. The bulb had the adapter harness to convert from the stock plug to the new light, and extra leads for the halos.
FWER, I am anxious about the drive plate, old electrics, and tube tires, so I don't really take the Vert for more than short fair weather day trips..... Perhaps once I retire I will be more willing to be stranded and delayed to get back home/work.
