I bought extra led-lights to my bike at winter time. These:

I asked from Triumph forums how to connect them so that they would always be off as my bike is off (AC). I got tips, but to be honest ... this blonde (and even not native english-speaker) did not understood all. So this summer I connected them directly to the battery of my bike. I can on/off them and change the mode of them via that small switcher (came with lights).
Today I noticed this from internet:

If that works, it could be good option for me. Has anyone tested that or heard about it?
Feels simple enough :azn:.
And it would be easy to connect something else to the bike as well .

I love your modding! I'm not electrically smart. But that's a product I would buy because I don't mind spending money for someone else's solution. Kind of like how I bought the Eastern Beaver headlight relay. Why reinvent a solution myself when someone else has?

Cannot tell from the pics but if there’s a relay in the system you could use the white wire to the coil as the exciter for the relay - will be hot when ignition is ON

I'm sorry not to be able to answer your question exactly. But, as one who has installed many lights and accessories with many methods, including special distribution boxes, my advice is to buy it if it has a warranty. It looks like a wonderful solution to your needs. I would buy it myself.

It looks from their literature to be an electronic controller allowing you to easily plug in and run a few power accessories. It monitors battery voltage and engine on/off status and only provides power to the accessories plugged-in when the engine is running. It also provides some protection from current overload.
Looks like a good gizmo for all the other gizmos...

So, essentially an expensive fused relay?
-
Not really a relay as there are no mechanical parts to it.

Right …..but ESSENTIALLY a solid state fused relay in its functions.

Did you mean me (OP)? If you did; I'm more like a person who will buy stuff to specialize/personalize her bike(s). I have nothing to do with selling. My profession is a pharmacist. Motorcycling is just one hobby of mine. But whatever I'll do, I tend to do that with some ''passion''. Perhaps that comes from my nature and the fact I trained in figure skating seriously for quite a long time. Doing something just ''halfway'' ... is not my way.
I buy/have bought stuff from many different places/net shops (which are pure competitors to each other). I could list the names here, but I think you would not like that either, would you? So let's just say here: I use the biggest motorcycle shops in Finland, in Sweden, and in Germany. Sometimes I buy something from the UK too but after Brexit & extra taxes ... less and less so. Few times I have bought something from France and from Italy as well. And cheap/simple stuff mainly from Asia/China (if I'm not hurry).
Something else? I'm also a pretty stubborn person ... sorry; ''a robot''. Firecracker who will become pissed off as fast as lightning....
I sense it is time for me to move away. In the end, I do not own any Guzzi anymore. So this ''robot'' will step out from this forum.

Aww, don't go, I thought you were doing some awesome stuff. I can see where you are coming from. Keep up the good work!

If you are successful in installing decent lighting on a bike, you can usually spot deer and other nightlife better at night than in daylight. It makes night riding out in the country really enjoyable if you have good lights that the electrical system can support. I make it so that I have some lights that I can leave on with oncoming traffic and some ‘theater lights’ for no traffic.

Essentially YES.

I used a Thunder box to add lights to my Tiger 1200. I was concerned about tapping into wiring of the can bus system so i found this to be an easy solution. Works as advertised and ten min installation is a plus.

I am a fan of the PDM method. These devices can make wiring nearly plug-and-play simple, worth the cost to some rather than DIY'ing something.
I have a Fuzeblocks FZ-1 on my V7 850, have used the same thing on other bikes as well as a Daytona D-Unit. Great little boxes for controlling which accessories are always powered from battery vs switched on with ignition. I do prefer the ones with fuses though.
