Title: Another bike
Post by: Scout63 on August 06, 2023, 05:17:25 PM
My first purchase on Bringatrailer this afternoon is this 1973 Laverda 750. Easier than selling but still nerve wracking.

Congrats Ben. Time to buy that building up in Vermont that you've talked about. Then you won't have to worry about space for a while, and you'll have plenty of toys to choose from when you're up there. Just rotate the flock like a good sheep herder once in a while. Seriously though, nice bike and a great addition.

I noticed that one myself yesterday - it looks to be a very nicely kept example.  The early super freni (SF) front brake is rare and interesting and the period correct S&W shocks make me smile.

I’d likely put a more original looking exhaust on it but OTOH it was lightly modified in period, but never vandalized, and that is kind of a cool thing.

Groovy cool… I sold a pair of those big brakes to buy my 428 Galaxie.

I hope you like it, Ben. Keep us posted.

Dang Ben!
I would have sold you my 1973 SF1 if I had know you wanted one.

I have never bonded with mine despite it being fully restored and tuned by Wolfgang Haerter the Laverda guru. Nice bike for sure, you will likely love it

I was wondering if that was you, Ben.

I had considered raiding the retirement account for that one!

That one will be A LOT of fun!!!

I’m sorry too Jim. Yours is beautiful and has disks up front.
