Title: My V7 850 hits 20000
Post by: Beowulf on August 21, 2023, 10:27:33 AM
So might be dumb. But I hit 20000 miles on my 2021 v7 850. Runs great still. After that hiccup I experienced with the ecu thought I’d give an update. Been very reliable. Have put on zard exhaust and done the remap at 12000 miles. I may update to a v100 eventually.

But for now really enjoying this.

Have you noticed oil consumption between two oil changes?

Not dumb at all. Glad you're enjoying it and the engine/transmission finally broke in.

How do you like the remap compared to the original?

I’m chasing ya Beowulf . I’m about one oil change behind you (if you use factory interval . Me , 3k interval). It’s my Goldilocks bike , everything fits me just right ! See ya on the road amigo !

Thank you for all the kind responses. I’ve noticed no oil consumption and I’m not easy on it, not abusive but I run it. I attribute this to the oil change interval 4-5k and the magical purple yak fat.

I love the remap and the zard exhaust. I bought the map from Italian company who with zard. I forget the name and they made one and the same. Has a nice feel not overly loud. My wife loves it as well. I switch out bikes with her when I need to maintain hers.

I really like this bike. It’s hard to beat, nice size and keeps up with whatever I need to do. It’s my main commuter. Continental tires were a nice change. Sad I may need to find different tires soon. Still some life left.
