Title: Took one of these bad boys out today.
Post by: Gliderjohn on September 08, 2023, 03:24:06 PM
Had a short test ride on a Energica today (see pic). WOW! The acceleration is just plain mind boggling and I never had it in sport mode. Throttle response smooth and easy to modulate but don't twist the throttle much unless you have an open road ahead of you. With the twist and go or stop it would be a great commuter. Seat is a brick however. Size wise reminded me a lot of my GS400 except had 170 hp instead of 20 something.

Electric bikes are scary fast and if I was looking for a commuter bike, that would be one of my first choices.

Maybe if I lived in a city. I would miss the thump. I would be more likely to get a low end electric car for day to day use since I never go more than thirty miles for work and have solar on the house and garage.   My best friend nixed our getting electric dirt bikes since they give woods walkers no warning.  During ***** everyone was out on the dirt roads with dogs and kids, and they would hear us coming and move out of the way. Of all the e-bikes I really like the Livewire but it is pricy.

I want one that has a more classic motorcycle look. Electric but California-ish, or Road King-ish. I will definitely bring going electric in a few years, just wish the offerings looked less modern.
