Title: New Guzzi project

For some odd reason I could not resist this poor thing. 1976 49cc Robin.

Looks to have been long neglected, now featuring a stunning patina which will stay, no resto here. I already have new tires, tubes and rim strips, a new fuel tap on the way and a tech manual.

The engine spins freely and has great spark, I have flushed the gearbox twice with fresh oil, the rest of it is all there, carb, air filter assembly, all of it albeit is bit tatty. The throttle cable is running freely in the sheath, brakes seem to operate well. Cleaning the tank is gonna suck, vinegar is in it now soaking.

And... the all important basket is on it...! :grin:

Parted out a few a couple years back. Have a few parts yet.

Great patina, i love when a moped looks like it shouldn’t run…yours has that in spades id say!…

Man, those are gorgeous, I won t be able fo hang with you...

Any chance that you have spare pedal assembly...? Some PO broke one and welded it. I can swap out from the crank though.

Post by: guzzisteve on September 29, 2023, 04:51:27 PM: There wasn't a Robin around when I needed one(lost my license) so I got a Kinetic from a Guzzi guy west of Chattanooga. 7mi on it, now 200mi. Haven't ridden it since I got tags back. I did hop it up though, they need it.
Freeking scarry at 70mph going down a mtn.
I can get any part I need cuz it's an Indian Vespa Ciao or Bravo, everything interchanges.
