Seems to me the original cube peacock came with a fine mesh screen that is set in the tank. There is a second screen filter at the carb body fuel inlet.
I've been running on that combo for almost 100K miles without a problem.
Any reason you want to add a third filter?

In my opinion, that's enough, and all that I use. But, NCAmother asked...

I'd never bothered with an external filter either on my old Brit bikes, but when I got the T, it'd been sitting for a while and the float bowls were full of grunge. So when I put it all back together, I put in line filters on it. They're the same kind I'd used on my old Volvo wagon with SU carbs. You can get them, in several different brands, at any auto parts store, and they're cheap. Made of steel, they're not transparent, but strong enough that a ham fisted mechanic like me doesn't have to worry about cracking or breaking them when installing. I changed the originals out, after maybe twenty years, and they were still working fine. Maybe that means you don't really need them? IDN, but I put a new set in anyway.
