Title: Relays
Post by: John A on October 09, 2023, 01:12:14 PM
Good explanation on ice cube relays, I use them on lots of stuff on bikes.  Brake lights, headlights spotlights, coils etc

Yeah, thanks for posting but I won't remember all that the next time I have to dig in to the electrical system but do have a cheat sheet I use to jog my memory.  I like those relay removal pliers, might have to look for one at the next swap meet tool vendor display. I already have the vise grip battery clamps!

Here's a couple of relay wiring diagram I made for when I wire up component (mostly LED lights) through a relay. I printed them out and put in plastic sheet protectors and into the 3-ring binder with the other quick reference sheets for the various bikes. I have also found I like the 4-pin 30a relays with integral fuse. No need for an inline fuse so things are more compact.
