Has anyone fitted an oil pressure GAUGE to a 2012 Norge.. I have replaced the oil pressure sensor twice in the last 2 years. I checked the one I took out yesterday, and it appears to be working. Would
be nice to know real pressure numbers. Triangle light and oil can logo has been coming on at idle rpm's along with code 08, but once rpm's are increased light and oil can go away.
Thoughts????

I think I have same your problem. Changed pressure switch 2kkm ago and now with hot engine at low rpm, the oil lamp turns with a terrible red.

This sounds like a symptom of a failed sump gasket, depending on whether this problem occurs with your particular bike. It should not be ignored. Maybe someone who knows more about your bike will chime in.

A gauge would tell you, plumb it right into the sensor hole w/a T, so you still have wiring hook-up on stock sensor.
If you have not changed the inner pan gasket now is the time, bells & whistle will go away. Do not use a black gasket, they get hard and blow out a section, most likely what has happened on 8V motor.

Both are good suggestions.....ord ered the new gaskets from MG Cycle...and will have to explore what size fittings I need.
Thanks

There were a few reports of broken oil pumps on Norges a good while back too. maybe worth checking that out too
