70* here in south Jersey today. Took the ‘74 V7 Sport for a 70 mile burn through the Pine Barrens. Nut and bolt resto by Charlie Mullendore. Finest running vintage bike I ever had. Have not touched a carb screw or choke in almost 12 years. Still a thrill to ride this machine.
Guzzi meets the Jersey Devil….

I cross the Mullica river three times on my usual ride…

Still has less than 20K original miles…

Next on the lift for oil changes and a healthy dose of SeaFoam before winter hits. Life is good.

That's really a peach! Charlie is the Stradivarius of Guzzi.

A blast on a good V7 Sport is always worth the effort. Thanks for the pics. Very cool.

It’s a fuel stabilizer. Works well.

Gorgeous machine. IMO it's the V7 sport is the prettiest bike Guzzi ever made. I love the black on red.

I needed those pictures.

Gorgeous bike,Cam. Is that frame color the same as on the V7 racer? I love the look.

It was originally black on black frame. Charlie powder coated the frame, swing arm and center stand red (brighter than V7 Racer). Really makes the Tonti frame pop! ‘74’s have the left side shift with the race 1 up, 4 down. Still a heavy bike by todays standards.

What a beauty! Its always nice to get that last ride of the year in.

Ha, now I do wish I hadn't turned around in Manchester, probably would have passed you around Luciles.
Yup, beauty of a bike, though I don't know how you go back and forth from it and don't screw up with that shifter.
You remind me I bought a bottle a Stabil yesterday and I need to start using it on all my fill-ups.

History of that 'Sport (as much as I know): owned by a friend of my brother's in Oceanside, CA, purchased on my behalf (package deal with an R75/5) in Jan. '03. I kept it for a while but never did anything with it. My friend Ron finally talked me out of it (Mercedes 300CD and cash), then had me "restore" it to his spec. Lots of things polished that wouldn't have been at the factory, red frame. Before I'd even finished he was ready to sell it. Fortunately, it found a good home with Cam.
Here it is with "Sophia", the '72 Ambo I also "restored" and was also briefly owned by Ron. She now has a good home in Oregon.
