Title: T3 bs Convert seat
Post by: fotoguzzi on November 08, 2023, 09:47:31 PM
Are the stock T3 and Convert/G5 seats interchangeable? I believe they are but looking for confirmation.

I have swapped my Convert seat between my SP and my 850T without any real issues. A little snug at the grab rail when in the open position on the T but not a real problem, so I would suspect it would be doable.

I did the same thing as the T seat was terrible.

Yes.

But if you will brook a little free advice, the
Convert seat changes the aesthetics of a T/T3 quite a bit, to my eye.

I ran a leather covered original T3 seat for many years, with a gel insert. Not too uncomfortable. Now I have one of the repro T3 seats sold by MG Cycle, which is very comfortable. Send me a PM if you might be interested in the former.

Yes, they interchange on different models but there may be snugness by tank or in back (like mentioned) foam to grab rail.
Different models for foam & same basic pan.

Good to hear you got an answer.  I didn't want to go into the garage and stare at both of the bikes.
