I spend hours on forums but no luck to find problem. I both stelvio as project with electric issue. Previous owner changed ecu, relays, starter switch and sold to me. I clean all connectors installed new battery, when I turn key fuel pump prime but not spark, code on dashboard errors DSB 05 (fuel sensor fault) on column memo. after reading forums decide change phase revolution sensor again no spark. I purpose guzzidiag and only one old code P0170, no signal. I tested sparks and bingo spark left and right side fuel ignitions works too. what can be problem? I have sparks using guzzidiag but no spark when starting bike with starter. Thanks for any comments. Happy Griso owner wants little adventure ride.

Are you 100% certain there's no spark when you hit the starter? Pull a plug, connect the lead and rest it on the valve cover so that it's grounded. With the room darkened (lights off), hit the starter and see if you can see the spark.
If no spark, check the gap on the phase sensor. Make sure the correct number of shims are installed. You need a 0.5mm - 0.7mm gap.
-
The safest way to check for spark is with a strobe timing light. It will only flash if there is a spark. It is possible to have a weak spark work with the spark plug out in open air that will fail under compression when fitted to the cylinder head.
-
If you determine there is no spark with a plug removed and grounded some other things to rule out would be , as mentioned phase sensor gap, side stand switch , neutral switch, tip over relay, clutch switch , kill switch, ignition switch. relays and relay and fuse connections.
-
Are the injectors firing when you crank it over? (do you smell fuel coming from the exhaust)
If not it may be the timing sensor.

I just find when I test injection with guzzidiag injection clicking but no smell fuel and spark plugs are not wet.

Im going to take out again timing sensor if there is any shims I installed new couple days ago sen813

I just find factory shim is there space between sensor and tooth 1/8 or 3,18mm thats good?

A trick to check the sensor clearance is to put a spot of quickset jbweld on the end of the sensor, reinstall so it is on a tooth. Residual oil will keep it from sticking.. When it has set pull the sensor, cut the spot with a razor to measure its thickness. Otherwise pull the timing cover and use a feeler gauge. I lost spark on a Bassa recently, everything worked except there was no spark. When I pulled the sensor, the body was swelled and hard to pull out of the hole.

I just measured space between tooth and sensor 1/8 or 3,18mm shim is factory.
-
The air gap between the sensor and the tone wheel should be between 0.7 and 0.9 mm.
-
If you want to check the injector(s), 30 seconds work to remove one and hit the starter.
It should fire fuel across the room.

Be sure to check on top of the tooth and also be sure you’re not measuring in the missing teeth section.

I find there 4 shims. First I put only 2 no spark then I put only one shim and again no spark and no shim again no spark sensor not damaged think some wire broken Im lost

What year is your bike?
2008 print section showing the pickup. Perform a resistance test between the pick up connector and the ECU connector, unplug the connectors from both pick up and ECU. This will check the wires.
Viewing the pick up connector pin 3 is a shield, 1 and 2 are the signal wires.
If the resistance test passes for the wiring keep the pick up unplugged and install meter probes between terminals 1 and 2 pick up side of connector, not the harness side going to the bike, meter set to AC voltage. Crank the engine and read the voltage. Should be 1 to 2 volts AC.

On the print it’s bottom left on your bike I don’t know. Could be reading off the cam or flywheel so look there.

Ok Guys, I find tone wheel not turning when starting so then I check compression left side has compression right not. I opened head covers and I find no
chain in left side now I closed Valve both have compresion but I thing is big issue with engine lets see what happened in couple days. Thanks for help.

As soon as I find it, I'll PM you Pete's email address. Pay attention to what he says..

Hi again. Thats was my problem, not electric issue. timing chain was broken and That pin next to shaft(in picture) was broken so timing wheel not turning means not spark. I bought this stelvio as project, now I find looks like not rollerized its 2009 with 27000 miles. What you guys thing it worth it fix it? what you thing? where I can find parts, gaskets, seals, chains, guides I see in parts around $700 plus roller set Im doing that as hobby Im not mechanic its challenge for me as I restored other motorcycles but guzzi is something new for me. I see some parts at Harpermoto or you know any web? Im in USA. Thanks

You’re going to have to pull the head and look for further damage. Based on the pictures you posted a valve was open when the cam stopped turning. Looks like at a minimum you have a bent valve but the damage can go much deeper.
Sorry to see this.

Can’t see any signs of valve and piston contact, big difference in the way the cylinders were running though.
Do some site searches on roller lifters to be safe.
