I’m looking for a good adhesive for affixing the “860” emblem to the metal sidecover on my 77 GTS. Prior owner used caulk and whenever it gets warm the emblem sags. Silicone? Thanks. Ben

I used automotive double-sided emblem tape for my LM1 side panels and fuel tank emblems. Used the same for my Norge front fairing MG emblem. A little goes a long way, it's extremely sticky.

3M makes an emblem adhesive.

I’ve used Ford trim adhesive since the 80’s. Use like a contact adhesive. Wet both surfaces to be glued. Let dry. Assemble and don’t miss because once placed together, that’s it. It’s a one-shot success or complete do over. Formula changed and
it’s still good but not as viscous it used to be. It’s more watery now so you have to be careful about runs when applying.
I would trust a comparable 3M product.

I just got done painting the tank on the new Stelvio and used 3M double sided tape. I used it on the V85 several years ago with perfect results. If you have to remove an emblem, you can use dental floss or a plastic razor. Good luck.

I used Goop on my Centauro badges probably 10 years ago and still holding strong. Glad I saw them both hanging when I pulled up to a stop light.

Thanks everyone.

The "professional" 3M tape you get at auto body/paint shops. They also have an adhesion promoter liquid in small tubes, that really makes it stick to darn near any clean surface.

Just sayin , this stuff is mighty tough for just about anything that needs glued... highly recommended for water resistance. https://www.ebay.com/itm/195687792644?epid=23007340611&itmmeta=01HRD5GK2NAH64E0BGAHR102Q3&hash=item2d8fe6c004:g:mMUAAOSwUXtkJg-7&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4ElzdVaqKabPdsOsVN9twNb56RDF7CwZuIKqzIEzDRBLTvEqU%2FKr5mFukLLc4i%2FoPanGSFiFROOAYhzkumjT0kDvo3d8JiAU6y0dnRGGLq1HUA3ysemY%2BHtemFwCBXPLLzoMKvOr3pHPye1KPW%2BFdRxDTOATiYyprW3%2BfI5iAbdO0E3PUYfX%2FqKZhhYIE1srL74wMfup5dw7q4Sa1VUmPn4I6NJHKBw7lJkVR1Y6SE6oa2kzNo55wbTQiN9s1wGrDfFBMzWDziPRGAIFigKgSoF5C128RhIJrhRqUtVfyefg%7Ctkp%3ABFBMuLHCpcNj
