Title: V50 BAP petcock rebuild kits?
Post by: jamesfjamesf on March 18, 2024, 06:47:08 PM
Mine weep a bit - one when shut off still leaks a bit into the fuel line, and the other leaks out the front. I'm coming up with zero hits trying to search for it (here and on google) unless I want to buy a new petcock. Are rebuild kits just not available?

thanks,
jim

Harper's might have the gasket, best to call them and ask.

Harpers has gasket kits for different petcocks.

The petcock gasket kits are under "Gaskets" not Petcocks.

N/A at Harper's or MG Cycle. Ah well. "It's just another $20" which seems to be the running theme of this project

thanks,
jim

There's a gent named Bruce Giller that makes gaskets/seals for the "sugar cube" petcocks used on Loopframe Guzzis. Perhaps he could make some? Or buy some Viton rubber sheet, a set of punches and make them yourself.

At < $20 each, I just bought new ones from MG Cycle. The inner seals that have the holes were hardened and I'm not really set up for that level of fabrication.
