Today is the Flood run, if the weather is good there are thousands of bikes that go around Lake Pepin on the Mississippi River. This morning there was fresh snow on the ground . At eleven am it was windy with a temp around 33F. I live near the Back Channel near RedWing, MN and I’ve seen about eight bikes go by on WIsconsin 63 . Another two just went by, I can see them as I’m sitting in a warm house. It’s been a decade since I’ve been on that run, I stopped when it got too big and crazy. I used to listen to the action on a scanner. It was most interesting when a couple rival clubs attended and they put Swat snipers on some of the bluffs overlooking the river roads. Nothing happened except amateurs having drunken wrecks later in the day, fun times. I’ll be laying new vinyl in a bathroom later, unless I go out to the shop and finish up putting new tires on . Seven more just went by..

Now there's a reminder why I left Brainerd, Mn. in 1990.
It's 79 in Ga today.

Begs the question…what exactly did the Swat snipers do?

Just kept an eye on the one percenters. There was no trouble, I think the swat guys were trying to feel useful and get training .They sounded like they wanted a conflict to develop but have no idea how it would have been used if one did. Tax dollars at work. They watched those guys like vultures, it was hilarious. There had been minor trouble between the Angles and the Outlaws in Duluth previously but they had worked that out. One of the reasons I quit going was that it was so heavily patrolled.
