Posted a few weeks back seeking input re: new tire options for my 2016 V7II Stornello.
Well, after some searching and sleuthing and weighing the options, I bit the bullet and ordered a pair of Michelin Anakee Adventures. NOT cheap, but they fit the bill as a mildly-treaded 70/30 tire that would work well on dirt roads and pavement alike.
The good folks at Hamlin Cycles mounted them up for me. I’ve put barely 30 miles on them, but already they’re a noticeable improvement over the stock Golden Tyres (the rear of which was kind of squared-off and getting a little dry and stiff—nine year old tire).

Those tires come stock on the V85TT. Hated them, noisy as hell on the slightest lean while the pavement. And I wear earplugs. Look out for cupping. Bought the bike from Hamlin, and he’ll do every service as long as I own it. Then I’ll trade it and buy my next one from Jim. The Guzzi community is lucky to have that guy. I’m 3 hours of sucky slab away.

FWIW they seem like a major upgrade from the stock "Golden Tyres" that came OEM on the Stornello, and I had a fun twisty ride home on them. YMMV, but I'm digging them!

sorry for the hijack !
but I'm getting tired of replacing the rubber on my V7... I've been digging for highest milage tires and i keep finding Metzler M888, but they don't have my size (at least for the rear)...
I don't care about corner grip (i don't go that fast).
I don't care about wet grip (i don't ride in the rain).
any recommendations ???

Bridgestone A41. A 90/10 and there is a $60. rebate right now.

I used to run Anakees on the Tiger, the front cupped pretty badly.

I thought so to Tom. But at least the OP wasn’t trying to be light hearted, there is little room here for that kind of fun.
New tires are always a good idea.

I put Shinko 705's on my Stornello several years ago. They don't make an appropriate front tire so I mounted a rear tire the opposite direction on the front (4.10-18 if I remember).
I have about 4,000 mi of various ridng from long distance super slab to off-road and back road wonderings on the set. They grip surprisingly well but do howl a bit in the turns. The front takes a bit getting used to as the tire grips oddly until the side lugs wear in.
They were cheap and I would likely put them on again.

Glad to hear your opinion on the Michelins. I just purchased a set for my V7 II . I’m not an adv. rider but couldn’t find any other radials to fit my Mk II . IMHO tires are way cheaper than plaster of Paris. I’ve heard they are now using fiberglass in ER’s now . I’m in no hurry to verify this !
