Title: 74 Eldo Police - Break-In Coming Along
Post by: Dave Swanson on May 04, 2024, 11:35:53 AM
With the weather finally cooperating up here the Eldo was out for a nice 100 mile break in ride this morning.  It has a 150 miles now and is functioning flawlessly.  I dropped the oil upon return and will re-torque the heads after cool down.

Occasionally a bike turns out just perfect when it rolls off the lift, and this was one of those.  It is perfect.

Most require a few weeks of fettling and sorting out.  Like my Honda CL350.  I'm still trying to get the carbs just right on that one.

I rode down to Dekalb, IL for the Illinois Guzzi breakfast and met up with Tim Smith.  He was on his 68 V700.

Looks like Tim’s has the early small metal saddlebags?  They’re pretty rare too.
