Title: 2012 V7 Classic Battery?
Post by: heirhead on June 01, 2024, 08:41:27 PM
Hello,
Always liked Motobatt Batteries but last two days have bought batteries that are to tall.
The ones online that say fit are 6.6" tall, which is to tall.
Any ideas?

Thanks much,

I don't know about the 2012 V7, but for the early V7 bikes these batteries fit:

Yuasa YXT14AHL and YB18L-A / Sears DieHard # 44005 / WestCo # 12V14L-B / Interstate CYTX14AHL-BS #M62H4L / Odyssey PC545 / Scorpion YTX14 / MotoBatt MBTX14 AU

Check the dimensions of the battery space before you order.

The list is from this website, dedicated to Guzzi 750 smallblocks:   https://groups.io/g/Moto-Guzzi-750  (https://groups.io/g/Moto-Guzzi-750)

Yes...I'm with Chuck-O. Another one arrived here this morning from Battery Mart in Virginia (Lithium Ion) for my 2009 Breva 750. But that takes a "15" case and apparently has the reverse polarity of a V7. With slightly less length.

But: WalMart now carries affordable NOCO Powersport Lithium batteries that include a 14-series case. They come with a set of plastic shims so you can raise them up for the proper height. You may want to check 'em out.

P.S. -- the Breva 750 "15" battery is 6.6" tall.
