This is a 2008 Yamaha FJR 1300. It followed me home yesterday.
Gave it the "once-over" with the garden hose, and then put it in with the general population
My project for the next couple of weeks.

Congrats~ was really tempted back in the day but read in several places that they were quite hot in the TX summer? Was supposedly fixed in later years; not sure when that was??

Someone brought one to the airport for us to try out. I realized that I didn’t have the self control to have one for myself. It sure could eat up a thirty five hundred foot runway, that is if someone was foolish enough to not keep it strictly on the taxiway. Somebody must have thought we might have because for about a week a patrol car would stop by in the evening to explain to anyone on a motorcycle that if he caught someone doing it, he would arrest them and impound the bike even if it was just on the taxi way. He had no sense of humor and we were glad none of us would do that, especially in the evening on an uncontrolled field with light traffic. That would be foolish alright.

Going to flip it?
When I was ready to part with my Concours 1400 because of the lack of cruise control, I would have seriously considered the FJR ES but got a screaming deal on a leftover Trophy SE.
All three of those bikes provide too much weather protection for the summertime in the southeast heat with humidity.

Nice! Does it have the electronic shift? The "piano company" sure makes some, nicely engineered, refined bikes!
Rick.
