All, I'm having to do several upgrades in the next day or so. These upgrades WILL cause some service interruptions. For those in the know, here's what I'm having to do:
* Upgrade PHP 7.4 and then the server's configuration needs to be changed to the Apache Event MPM with PHP-FPM.
* MySQL needs to be updated to MySQL 8.0
* VPS
I'm having to stagger this and have elected some 3rd party support help on things a little above my pay grade.
So, if you notice the site not loading or running slowly over the next 2-5 days, this is why. Please be patient and there's no need to bombard me with emails that the site is down because I will know.

Luap,
I'm not able to cut and paste text to a post. I've tried a few times to add it but I get an error message.
Thanks!

Bump
Just a reminder that upgrades are ongoing and some wonkiness remains.

No wonkiness should be happening. If you still get the Database errors, that's because your internet provider hasn't flushed their DNS yet. You're likely experiencing dns cache from when there was a problem. Nothing I can do. All updates, repairs and everything are done now. It's just a waiting game form some.

Everything is working perfectly for me now. Well done and thank you! :thumb:
I too can relate. Upgrading all or most of the entire server stack is a huge undertaking with an extra helping of stress.

Good deal. Glad to hear. I'm still hearing from a few members of issues.

Yep. Very few with ISP's who don't like to renew DNS very often. Direct them to this topic: https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=121247.0
