Morning All
I was 40 miles into a 240 mile trip and stopped for a quick bite to eat
On restarting the bike I got an engine management light permanently lit.
Switching off and restarting did nothing, nor did "ride it for a few miles and see if it goes away"
So I abandoned the ride and rode home to fin out what was occurring.
Guzzi Diag says its a P0336 error - speed sensor
After being stopped for an hour at home, I started the bike and the light went out.
So I guess that I have a temperature sensitive issue with the crank sensor, so will find a replacement.
Is there a list of equivalent parts for the V9/V7 anywhere?
It looks like a bog standard Bosch part (0 261 210) but I'd like to be sure
Also, could a dodgy/dying crank sensor be the cause of my ongoing snatchy throttle at low rev transition?
Cheers

OR gap sensitive, could have grown a touch. Worth checking.

Check the Ohm's & harness connections too.

Grrrr
Replaced the crank sensor yesterday and gone out for breakfast.
Stopped bike and got another error.
I'm guessing I'll be doing a deep dive into the electronics and connections when / IF I get home
Oh well

Yep, same error

Bike started good as gold when cold and ran fine, until I stopped and restarted it when warning light illuminated.
Bike rode home with no issues
I'm trying to get my head around what to next
Can this error be caused by an earthing issue
Any suggestions to find the route cause would be appreciated
Cheers
Tris
PS I think it overheard me talking about moving to a V85, so it's sulking

SOLVED
I broke, cleaned and remade (Inc vaseline) the battery and earth connections
Since then I've ridden it about 110 miles with 6 or 7 restarts and no warning light
A "good" ie cheap Guzzi solution 😁
