Just wondering. '98 V11EV is all electronic engine control.
Is there a rev limiter in the program or is monitoring red line up to the operator?

My map ends at 8200 rpm, that would be a rev limiter. Other than that there isn't a rev limiter in the system. Haven't gotten mine to 9K like the carb Guzzi's I own.

Hey, I was wrong!! Map says 7029rpm. Had to look. The other # is for MyP8ECU from AU . I made that map stop at 8200rpm.
But there is no rev limit section of the map like other ECU's. 15M and later I know have one, 16M I can't remember, I was changing chips on P8 & 16M's.
Are you looking for a chip?

Thats sounds more like it. Power drops off a cliff at about 6500. Pretty hard to over rev it even in the lower gears.
I know some of the hot rodders like Hunchie would drop a 1100 Sport ECU in their EVs for more power and RPMs.

Not looking for chip. Just wondering if I had to pay attention to the tachometer when I grabbed a handful and held it.

What Pete says, drops off a cliff.
I stopped over to a fellow Guzzi wrench yesterday to see if he was still riding his Scura. It's way bumped up & he was unable to ride it to work anymore. I made some changes to his map for him. Cold start issue fixed and rev limit up to 9200rpm. Been 4yrs but it had been in storage so no riding or races.
I also saw a new model from Moto Studio in his shop w/1400 motor in it. It had huge carbs on it. Wish I would have taken pics.
