Just wanted to report that I’m loving the 1400 mill!
Can’t remember the last time I was so smitten with a big block, the 1100 EV maybe or the 1200 Stelvio?
Now the 2017 Roamer had a sweet “goldiblocks”, not big or small but just right.
Still the constant pull of the 1400 is intoxicating.
In a different way I had a 2014 Triumph Trophy SE that had a peach of motor, 1200 3 cylinder, although it lacked the torque that I’m addicted to and it was a top heavy thing.
Anyway, many happy miles to ya!

I came home to a 1400 after a stint with a V85. The torque is just to alluring. The looks push my buttons. I love parking next to a bunch of cruisers of the American brand just to be asked, "What is that". Not that it has any influence on me but most people give compliments.

I got that often with the MGX 21, and still do with my Griso, but so far no conversions........
I loved the drivetrain on the MGX but not the low or high speed handling. I still dream about nabbing a Red 1400 Eldorado, but for now am sticking with the CARC bikes. Adding a 2012 Norge (yes rollerized) this summer.
Love the Guzzi Big Block!

Of all the 5 HD’s, big twin metric bikes, flat twin BMW’s and the 4 Moto Guzzis, the 2015 1400 Tourer was the most responsive and fun motor I’ve ever owned or ridden. I truly loved that machine.
However after the 2nd TPS failure, in the 5k miles I had it, I lost faith and trust in the machine and let someone else roll the dice.

As compared to the 1200 Sportster and Big Twin 88 I have had, the 1400 torque is not quite as take off at idle friendly as the HDs but it is so close with only the smallest amount of throttle needed to get moving. The peak is a low 2750 rpm so mine shows 55 mph at that rpm in top gear and on a relatively flat road the bike is content to roll along at that speed in top. It will pick up speed pretty well in that setting, but good passing requires a downshift. I know this talk is sacrilege to owners of most of the other sizes of Guzzi, but it works for me.

eats miles deceptively quickly. I like better than 3K on the clock, and 4K is better still
to make the most of the power it's got.
Just got back from a trip to WV on the Trophy, and that is one sophisticated bicycle.
The motor is lovely, and torquey for the displacement, I think.

I had a Rocket III as well, torque King I think but she got hot between the legs for me anyway.

If they only made one with a frame mounted fairing, but I am happy with my Road Glide and the torque is indeed amazing!

That's a beauty 2wheel, just too much for me these days. Once the 1400 feels too big, I guess I am V7 bound.

Since this has derailed a bit.
Love the looks of the Guzzi 1400's, but I hate to move them around a garage while pushing. I have yet to ride one. Sorta scared to, a heavy bike.
Talking about torque or whatever gets a bike moving quickly. I thought my 1100 EVT could get up and move with a 3/4 throttle hit while rolling in the proper gear. Then I ended up getting a HD Dyna 1600cc/96in. You whack that throttle and wow. I used that today, it would have stomped my 1100 EVT.
My 1100 EVT is more than satisfying to me for my needs. Hope your 1400 is satisfying you!!!!!!!

The 1400s are heavy - no doubt about it.
I'm only intimidated by that weight on loose gravel - especially 2 up.
Nick Adams rides his loop all over the place, on all kinds of roads, for instance.
I wouldn't try some of those roads on the big Cali - THAT would end in tears - at
least with me in charge of the plot.
Handling, brakes, and comfort are all top-notch. Power is good, but I have to admit
being spoilt by the afore-mentioned Rocket III. :grin: Suspension could be improved,
but that's a $2K effort. Maybe if I'm feeling particularly flush some day.
Overall, I'm quite happy with the machine. And it's fun to see some of the Harley boys
look at it - they have NO CLUE what it is! :grin: Most people like the styling, too.

I don't like pushing it either but at least I can get my feet flat on the ground, so that helps. I think the suspension is "good or a cruiser". The magic button (cruise control) really completes the package.
