Title: V7 850 with Agostini short exhaust and H&B sidecases
Post by: DeeTeeBee on July 18, 2024, 10:43:37 PM
Is anybody out there running Agostini shorties with Hepco and Becker Junior sidecases on a 2021-or-newer V7?  Or any other plastic side case?  Sources conflict on whether or not the cases will get cooked by the exhaust. I leave my side cases on most of the time, so they do end up sitting in traffic (or slowly splitting lanes) in LA fairly frequently and I would guess the slow speeds allow more of the hot exhaust to stay near the cases.  I don't mind if they get warm, but I'd like to avoid deforming/melting.  I stop to pick up ice cream only every once in a while.

I’m running Agostini Long exhaust with HB cases, no issues.

My other bike has no problems. Yeah I know, different bike & different bags. The pipes are about 3/4" from the bottom of the Honda (rumored to be made by Givi) plastic saddle bags.

Thanks, y'all.  Both of those photos are helpful in different ways and both inspire confidence that my possible future setup should be trouble-free.  Thanks again!
