Let the complaining start in three...two...one.. .. (https://www.adventurebikerider.com/long-way-home-ewan-and-charley-return-for-fourth-series/?fbclid=IwY2xjawErPvpleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHTrFvwqDPqj3G2c9vYJAqbKnUiPRtd_x9GFpdxdgMEZtY8hXwEg4PDr39g_aem_zfCyRzXleE087J7wT-KEuA)

I’m not sure why any Guzzi fan would complain. Ewan’s possibly the biggest celebrity ambassador Guzzi has had for many years now. Heck, I wouldn’t have been surprised if he had been nudging the Guzzi/Beemer idea for a long time now. I’m pretty stoked to see this, especially now that I’m also an airhead owner.

Composer, Roger Hodgson of Supertramp talks about "Take the Long Way Home"
Take the long way home is a metaphor for the universal journey of self-discovery. The song is a vehicle for reflection in which the sometimes-disappointing realities in our grown up lives can reflect in a not so positive way on the hopeful idealism of our youth... A lot of my songs have multi-levels and the deeper meaning to this song is about taking the long way home to our true home, that place of real connection inside our heart.
10,000 mile motorcycle ride sounds about right for this. I'm happy about the vintage bikes chosen.

Sure to make the value of old Loopframe Guzzis go up!

Did anyone see the front tyre of Charlie's BM?
-
Why the hell would anyone complain ?
If you can indulge your passion and pay the bills with it then go hard lads ! I’ll be watching every minute.
What I like about Ewan is that he is unapologetic and quite realistic about his bike skills or lack of, the only thing I didn’t like about Charley was his willingness to drag up a previous misdemeanour by Russ, when he (Charley), crashed into the back of Ewan.
He does display dramatic double standards at times, but who doesn’t…?

I'll complain.... I don't have Apple TV.

I have a hard enough time watching the road.

I'm happy to see that Ewan McGregor will finally be on a Goose for a "Long Way" show. On more than one occasion when I've told someone I own a Moto Guzzi, they've been keen to tell me that Ewan McGregor rides those! I doubt anyone tells Ewan that I ride one too. 😂
I've watched all the other "Long Way" shows and found them to be good entertainment. There's some dramatization that I'm not very interested in, but I also appreciate that their concerns and struggles, even after professional training and with professional assistance and more resources than the common rider, are not minimized. They've gone from riding prototype electric motorcycles to vintage air cooled bikes, quite a range! I look forward to seeing the wrenching and "Offerings to the God of Speed" that are sure to occur.

The first, Long Way Around, was excellent. The Second, Long way Down, was decent, but for the part with Evan's wife. The third was not very good, I hope they can recapture some of what they had in the first.

Eve Mavrakis is a talented, charming person, and I really sympathized with her in both shows, feeling left behind with a couple kids to care for her while her more-famous husband goes off and ‘adventures’…but I felt her joining the ride took away from the friendship dynamic that we tuned in for. Granted, they choose what gets tossed out of the editing room, but it didn’t seem Charlie was too enthused.
-
I don't know how charming or not she is, but I'll take your word on it. It's not like they were gone for 6 months. And seems like a small sacrifice for people in their shoes, they certainly shouldn't have been struggling to afford their way of life. As to feeling bad for her, I didn't. And in the second show, she did go ahead and left her kids behind, with no parent! Just opinions.

Really looking forward to this. The other segments with Ewan and Charlie have been great and I enjoy rewatching on occasion. This one should be especially good. If you don't have Apple TV+ just wait until all the episodes have dropped and do a seven day free trial. Well worth it!

<snip>"Predictably, McGregor is on a Moto Guzzi California (my guess is an 80s model California II, the most “reliable” of the old Italians). "<snip>
LOL!!

I am pretty sure it is a /5. It has the "key" switch on top of the headlight bucket, just like the /2's.
