Eg, swingarm and the like. Something to restore a bit after washing?

That looks pretty far gone but I use S100 Engine Brightener, also Harley sells one for black engines and covers.

Mostly for plastics. It has to be re-applied once in a while

WD-40 works sometimes, for a while. But, I agree with Clifton - S100 Engine Brightener.

I've had good luck with Stoner's Trim Shine. It's been great on UV fade, plastic, shiny, paint, etc.
Spray can is $6 at Lowes.

I like the $6 price, I'll look for it at Lowes and give it a try.

Appreciate all these suggestions. I’ll find one and see how it goes.

I think mostly the swinger needs properly washed as in scrubbed with soap and water to remove the surface scum them dress with a conditioner of your choice.

Yes, I had just washed it pretty well before that pic. But will scrub it again before putting on the conditioner.

You could paint it, there are various black versions in a spray can, depending on whether you want to continue matte, gloss, semi gloss.
You could also spray on Plastidip if you wanted a real layer of product that is both removeable, but fresher looking than faded grey.

I use Balistol.Holds up pretty well. Cleans and brightens and protects. Safe on paint plastic rubber metal skin etc. spray it on wipe it off then finish with a microfiber towel or such to get all oil off.

Mr. Clean removes water spots quite nicely. Pour about three fingers in a quart spray bottle and fill the rest with water. It also makes a great cleaner.
