Anyone brought the Italian made 850T/ T3 reproduction seat?
It looks the part in pictures.
-
Lively crew today EH, not a peep. Well, I seen them on others but don't own one. Nice from what I've seen.
-
It might be helpful if a link was provided, so that we can see exactly what seat is being asked about.

Maybe this is what the original poster was referring to:

If it’s a NISA product, it should be good quality. NISA made a lot of the oem seats and I understood is still making some old model seats in limited runs.
Who manufactured the original seats for Moto Guzzi?

NISA doesn't list any Guzzi seats except for the Guzzino 65 and a couple passenger "rear cushions".

Thanks, Charlie- that’s why I asked.

Both Gutsibits and Stucchi list an Italian made 850T seat.

Stucchi is likely the original source for the seat.

That's curious. For years, Stucchi didn't make the narrow T/T3 seat. Only the big Convert/G5 unit. Occasionally, they'd kick out some narrow "comfort" seats, slightly stepped with different stitching. For some reason, I'm a little skeptical that they are having seats done anymore, all they seem to do is paint now. You got any speak able confirmation it's them Charlie? I have an ulterior motive admittedly, but would love to know more.

I don't know it's them for sure, just a guess.

Not sure this link will work for you , but it's all I got ( My Mac said their security certificate had expired)
Trezzi is making the seat in question. I have used one on my SP for a while. Comfortable but needs some breaking in.Quality is good as is the fit to the tank

I do not know enough about these seats, but it seems that all seats said to fit T3 are not the same

The seams and pattern looked different to me.

Yep, seats are sold at a few places, MG, Gutsibits and Stein-Dinse.
There is a slight difference between the T and T3 seat.
The T has a small rounded extention at the front lower corner, l guess its to fill a gap at the bottom rear of the tank.
They seem to have deleted it on the T3.
-
Seats the same. Nothing different with the tank on these models that would require additional pieces to cover. The only thing in the parts books different between the T and the T3 seats is that one came with a prop rod and the earlier one didn't. Convert and G5 were wider and taller, but they are all interchangeable. Notice how many of the sites references have them in stock? One out there even shows on the pan "LGC", which is Stucchi long gone. Not gonna happen anytime soon. Same old story folks, how many people on the face of the Earth are looking to by a seat for one of these bikes? Too limited a market for somebody to go and run a batch of 20, 30 or 50 of them, and then sit on them for how many years to get their money back. You want one of these seats, or many of these parts for the older bikes, you see it, you better buy it. When they're gone in another 6 months, you won't see them again for years if at all. Think about all the good folks out there wanting Gilardonis for V700s, V7 Specials/Ambassadors and V7 Sports, as well as Lafranconis yada yada yada. Enjoy !!!!

Yes, my hose, sorry. Shown here correct. Upper pic, Convert/G5. Lower pic, T/T3. The significant difference being that the 'Vert seat is wider. Yes, patterns different. The T/T3 narrower seat as shown is a relative newcomer in aftermarket availability. Both ultimately interchangeable among those models plus SP and T4. If you want a new seat for that model group, and you can get either seat, you might want to grab it

The Convert seat is way more comfortable than the original t3 seats,I don’t know about the replicas.
-
I just returned from a 3140-mile round trip to Idaho and found the seat in question supremely comfortable.

Purchased from MG Cycle, I have now had it on my bike for three years and 12,000 miles. It seems very well built and still looks almost like new.

It is much more comfortable than the old original seat I had on my T3, but that one was really worn out. I think it is somewhat thicker than the original.
The seat maintains the sportier profile of the original and avoids the aircraft carrier appearance of the Convert seat.
The stamped-in pattern on the surface of the seat is different from the original, which I still have somewhere in my garage. The lettering on the back is in the appropriate font, but is smaller than the original.
Besides the comfort, it adds greatly to the appearance of my bike. I recommend it without reservation.

Great stuff "Moto" just what I wanted to hear.
Will get my order in soon as there is a long lead in time for supply and freight to NZ.

I Beg to differ. Brought a T3 cover to fit my T pan and as you can see by the picture it does not fit because of the extended fillers at the bottom corner.
Stein-Dinse list both the T and T3 seat with the only difference being this extension.
I am guessing Guzzi deleted them for ease of production.
Would hope Stein,s wouldn't advertise them if they can't deliver

Nice paint, how about a photo of the rest of the bike?
-
Looks to be an incorrect 'cover. Too short in the front aftermarket cover, not fitting over a longer in the front pan. I don't recall those plastic "cheeks" on my T or T3 pans, though the did extend forward more than the Convert pan did I think. The cheeks were metal. Maybe really an aftermarket pan? Stucchi's Sport and 750S pans had those plastic cheeks for example. Whatever. SD lists the T seat as one item, the T3, Convert and G5 seat as another. That's kind of incorrect. While they are certainly interchangeable between those models, the T an T3 pan and cover are essentially the same, the Convert pan wider and foam taller. Requiring a different cover.

The extensions are steel but have a rubber cover over them to give a nice rounded edge so not to cut material.
The bike was imported from Lincoln Nebraska and meant to be a one owner, cant be sure but seat looked factory and was not in very good condition.
Not sure about the colour TKELLY, dont think its original, still thinking as to what colour I will paint it.
Pictures is of bike as it arrive and where its up to now.

Color is better than the stock ones, very nice!

The T and T3 seats are not the same, contrary to my previous belief.
I opened up my March 1974 and July 1975 issues of Motociclismo
and examined photos of the seats of the T and T3 respectively.
The T3 seat has a molded in seam down the middle that the T seat
does not.
T, without central seam:

T3, with central seam:
(https://i.ibb.co/HBcbbvn/image.jpg) (https://ibb.co/HBcbbvn)
The T seat clearly has the ears at the front:
(https://i.ibb.co/Ptjr72X/image.jpg) (https://ibb.co/Ptjr72X)
The "new seat" I have is more like the T seat, without
the central seam, than the T3:

Now you got me thinking. I have a stock one of each, I gotta take a look at them.

I have started something here.
Just about to order a T seat then all I have to do is wait and wait and wait!
