Bike/rider looked rather daft with a the latter seated on top.

Dual chain drive and kicker kit would be even more awesome.

And I’m not decrying it because it started as a V9…
I’ve never been on a V9, but I am reliably informed that the engines are lovely. Indeed, if I could have gotten a V85 with the V9 motor ex factory, I would have done that.
If my motor let go catastrophically, it would be a V9 motor I would seek, not a V85.
The styling is a mess, there are more lines than Tolstoy novel. One part does not speak properly to the other, as usual the workmanship is not to be criticised..
Das is goot….!
Now that seat…!
The darn thing is jacked up high above the frame rails, forcing the “rider” to fall forward like a drunk throwing up in the gutter after a huge night out…Pox.
Why not have it placed lower, so the rider feels “in” the bike and part of it..
It looks like a parts bin special, which it demonstrably is not, but you just can’t “unsee” it.
Styling is not the German’s long suit, everything they do looks brutal, which would be fine if it was rocking 90 kW…
One step above a Russian offering.

Morning
I run a V9 Roamer and do like the engine.
I assumed that the V85 was a minor evolution of the V9
I'm curious as to what the difference is between the two engines

Cheers

I’d like to know how they handled the ignition since the CPU was eliminated.

25 horses on paper, a lot less in reality. And the original V9 had more power below 4000 rpm than the 85TT. Have not studied the differences, but most likely cams and intake and exhaust system.

That's not a v9.  It's apparently a v9 motor in a v9 frame, the rest is just other bits.
