Title: Breva Neutral Switch Location?
Post by: Walter on September 25, 2024, 11:33:04 PM
My 2006 Breva V1100 neutral light no longer turns on when in neutral and I believe this is keeping it from starting.  I went through every page of the shop manual looking for the location of the neutral switch with no luck.  Can any Breva owners point me in right direction?  Thanks in advance!

Sure can Boss…!
Take the airbox out and you’ll find the switch at the rear end of the gearbox on the top.

THIS...... and then swear and curse as you try and get the air box back into a hole that now appears too small :thumb:
Lubrication in the right places will help

If you have a long needle nose pliers you can see if it's just the wire on the top hat post on sensor. It has to be snug. I can slide wire on & off but to change it out there isn't enough room.

At the moment the switch and it's unplugged harness appears to be in a bag on my workbench.  I was servicing the bike two months ago, went on a long trip, returned, assembled the air box, tank, and other items, tried to start it and found the neutral switch was not working, saw it on the bench, and then went 'whoops'.  But I'm not sure how to put it back in. I know, pretty stupid!  Any pictures would be helpful!

Looks like an airbox out deal, it has to go strait down on back of gearbox on top. I just saw this job here or on GT or Ghetto with pics. You Got to search.
