Beautiful bike :thumb: Pity it has two cylinders too many (for me), or I would have bought one a decade ago. While inline fours was the "real deal" when I grew up, these days I cannot stand listning to the sound they emit over time.

I actually enjoy the smoothness of the 4 and the burble of the exhaust, at least on this one.

The RS model was my favorite, but sadly it was never imported into the US.

Looked at new leftover ones heavily discounted because they weren't well received. The plan was to order Café parts from Japan. Test ride didn't do it for me though.
Then I found the 2010 MG Café Classic and now have two Moto Guzzi in the garage.

I’ve put 24K miles on my 2013. New retail was $10,499 on that model. Young guys didn’t want a 540 pound bike putting out less than 100HP and as a result at that price point, the bike languished on the sales floor. To the Guzzi faithful that should sound very familiar.
This bike was never going to be popular with the under 50-55 bike crowd. Buyers mostly were alive in the late 60’s and remember the original CB750 and were drawn to it for various nostalgic reasons.
Mine was supposed to have been a Griso. However, the local multi brand dealership stopped selling Guzzi’s less than a year after selling a V7R to me. One day I stopped by the local Honda dealership and the CB1100 was sitting on the showroom floor. I asked a salesman about it and he literally tossed me the keys and said to take it for a ride. 20 minutes after I came back in the dealership The sale was finalized.
I had a fork seal leak as the only non-scheduled maintenance.
On another website dedicated to the CB about the only thing that that has come up in a handful of bikes is fuel surging.
Membership consensus on that site is they’re mechanical anvils overbuilt for what buyers are expected to put them through. Mine certainly has proven itself to fit that description over the past 9 years.
The bike isn’t for everyone as some have mentioned in previous replies. I’m a rider not focused on image, brand or engine configuration. I hopped on it, rode it and wanted it. Simple as that. It will probably be in my garage when I give up the ghost. Hopefully by then I’ll have the V7R “sorted” for the next owner.
