After a 200 mile ride a few weeks ago I appear to have developed tennis elbow on the clutch side.
Never had it before with this setup so came as a surprise, I have though adjusted things since then to see if that helps going forward
Any recommendations in the interim to make it go away?
I've tried heat & exercise but it's lingering
Cheers

Youe elbow will be inflamed so use ice and rest to start with.

As a doctor, I would prescribe riding a Convert in future, or adjusting the bar position a little.
But seriously, hoping it gets better soon.

Having had tennis elbow in the past the best advice I can give you is getting physical therapy.

I guess you will receive enough advice to confuse you utterly and completely :boozing:
I have suffered from tennis elbow for years on end, at times so painful I could not even grab another person's hand for a greeting shake. What finally helped me, was doing these https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4fORrKYfU7o plus wearing a brace similar to this https://www.amazon.com/Sleeve-Tendonitis-Counterforce-Support-Forearm/dp/B01H2123YU?th=1 during the day. NOTE: Personally, I did not wear the brace when performing the exercises.
It is not an instant fix, but then again I had suffered with a really sore elbow for 4 years when I began doing these. I took me about a month to heal. You should bounce back sooner, since the injury sounds like it is fairly fresh.
You can also squeeze a ball that is not too hard (about tennis ball sized) as long as it does not hurt. I gentle sting is OK, but not pain. This will give you gradually more power, good to prevent future injury, and also help supply more blood to the whole area.
YMMV
PS! You know your body best. If something feels good, it likely is. Same if it feels bad - stop unless a reliable expert can verify that it will come good eventually.

I played ice hockey goaltender for many years. Heavy stick in one hand. Heavy, wet glove in the other. I had numerous bouts of tennis elbow. I feel your pain. Worst part was that I couldn't rotate my arm. I could pick up a mug of beer and hold it straight out then gradually pull toward my face. End of action. Any attempt to rotate the mug and drink the beer ended in a scream and a lap full of beer. :-(
A padded clamp band helped for daily activity but no way I could play. The only thing that solved the incidents was a direct Cortisone shot into the anchoring point. Never had both elbows at the same time. Cure would last a few years and then need a repeat. I no longer have that issue but alas I no longer play. Sad day in my life when I hung up the skates.

This works wonders for my blown out elbow.
