Title: Hurricane Milton

   Still no power on my side of town in Tampa since Wednesday night. Glad I bought a generator 8 years ago. Never had to use it until now. Keeps my refrigerators (and beer) cold. Finding gas was hard at first but becoming more available now. Cooking breakfast on my camp stove. 😝

I no sooner posted this and the power came back on. Yeah! Big thanks to the linemen working 24/7. Several tornados were spawned off this hurricane and the did major damage.

I was lucky, did not lose power, but a lot to clean up. Had to cancel the trip to Barber Vintage days, but thats nothing compared to the damage and flooding, especially southeast of Tampa. There's a lot of downed trees and poles everywhere, and schools will be closed for a least a few more days. Lots of people got double whammy from Helene and then Milton. But there's an army of linemen and cleanup crews out now, and they are making great progress. Fema giving out food water and ice and the state providing gasoline to some folks. Food stores are getting restocked and as Steve says the gasoline situation is improving by the minute. There was some shouting and cursing at the gas station by me when people attempted to cut in line.
Guzzi Content--took a ride on the EV to check on my workplace yesterday, they were replacing a pole and a couple hours later the power came back on there.  Some washed out roads, flooded areas still and sand on others from flooding. Did the 12kmi service on the V7, and pulled the rear wheel for a new tyre and spline lube

No loss of power for me. I did have a 50' southern pine tree go down but luckily it missed the house. It took out a little of the fence but not a big issue.
Five years ago another big pine fell and landed on the roof and punctured it in a few places. Glad to not have to deal with that again.
