Title: Norge charging question
Post by: OldManMike on November 08, 2024, 06:07:40 PM
Should I be concerned?  My 07 Norge idle voltage across the battery is 13.9 volts.  It reads the same 13.9 V at 5000 rpm.  Bike runs fine, but I am just wondering if my alternator is working optimally.  Battery is new reads 12.9 volts now but I put the bike back on the trickle charger when I got home last night.

You can easily test it by drawing your battery down a bit, jump start it and see if the alternator brings it back up.
I’ll be home shortly and I’ll check mine.
I think 14.2 is the target value, but we’ll see.
Kiwi Roy is the Man, he’ll be along soon one hopes.
