Title: Indicator warning light.
Post by: GuzziNZ on November 25, 2024, 05:05:23 AM
I would like to fit a bright LED near the instrument cluster to show when the indicators are going on my 850T.
Can I just Tee off the LED feed wire to both the left a right indicators and  fit a blocking diode into each wire or just use two LEDs, one for each indicator.

Yes. Greg Bender has supplied me with a simple harness for this purpose. Many times I repurpose the high beam warning light for the signals, rather than adding more.

Yes, just use a diode from each direction feeding a lamp to chassis.
I had a buzzer for a while wired the same way but my friends said the could hear me coming blocks away.
I also have a lamp that indicates when my brake light is ON, its wired to the front brake switch to chassis (also lights if the rear brake is applied)

This is what I did on my 03EV.  Blue LED for left and right turn signal.  They are very easy to see in bright sunshine and maybe a bit to bright at night.
