Title: Any LA area Guzzisti affected by the fires?
Post by: bigbikerrick on January 10, 2025, 01:51:34 PM
Hello folks, Ive been following the wildfires in southern  California, as a couple of good friends that are wildland firefighters volunteered to go there and help. They have told me that the devastation there is like nothing they have seen before. I am wondering if any forum members are near that area....
Hopefully the weather cooperates,and they can get these fires under control. So sad!
Rick D.

Same here- I hope everyone out there is safe.  The pictures and stories are surreal.
My wife and I used to live in Altadena- and the home we lived in is certainly gone in the Eaton fire.  I hope our old neighbors are ok...well, their kids anyway. We lived in the area 25 years ago.

All is fine near San Pedro in the concrete jungle. All the fires are up in the hills north of LA City itself. It's just been smokey and ashes falling.

My firefighter friend sent me a whattsap photo of a garage with 7-8 motorcycles in it, all burned, with all the aluminum melted onto a puddle on the floor, with just the frames standing.
That was one hot fire!  very sad indeed.

The fires in California are horrible same as the flood in NC and FL were.
Now let’s check in our political views at the door, on the subject, prior to entering the WGC forum.
Thanks.

I was wondering about Todd too.  He sponsored the MGNOC National in Malibu.

His response to a question on his site: here is an abbreviated part of it.

Guys, I haven’t even begun first steps to reassemble my post-fire (everything lost) life, so my patience is at zero for the constant requests for info that is here and linked from the product pages. A search will direct you to below in 2 seconds. You’ll have to be patient as revising ECU files is at the bottom of my life list right now, but I will do my best to do so as I can make the time;

I was watching a video on Youtube headed north from Topanga canyon on the PCH, and saw Todd's road was in the thick of the burned area.
