Title: Guzzi Dia help near Tucson
Post by: Vagrant on January 15, 2025, 09:09:01 AM
I'm in S. Az.for the winter with a 2016 V7II. It needs a map install, and computers and changing maps scare the crap out of me. If there is anybody out there near me that would be willing to walk me through it the first time? I'd sure appreciate the help.
Please Pm me your #
Thanks in advance.

You will be making a copy of your current map and storing it safely so if the new map is not to your liking you will be able to restore the original if needed.

Make sure the battery is on a tender or charger.

I installed a guzzidiag map in my 2018 Eldorado , I used to feel kinda confident playing with this sort of stuff .
It was no walk in the park (and I must've read through all the posts here a dozen times) I did finally get the map installed.
It ran much better with it , (the troubleshooting capabilities were the highlight of the software) .
It's possible that it's easier with your model of guzzi , (I hope)
Try to ignore the geeks amongst us suggesting using Apple products , Win 7
Good luck and keep us informed .

Don't think y'all would let me back to AZ, after 25 years.
Sure could do with that weather!  :weiner:

How about you hop in the car and come visit for a while. Yesterday it was 73 in Tucson and 70 here. I put new tires on the v7II and did a Mt. Lemmon run. There is a brand new v85 here with your name on it and a nice spare bedroom. Food and Bourbon included!

Wish I could, but can't. I can walk you through it if you want. I lost all my maps & info on the last puter took a dump. May be salvageable but haven't taken it over to the mechanic. Got most software on this one, used the MyECU but not Diag for mapping only tune up stuff.

Too bad life is complicated, or I would be on the road heading west.

No kidding, have had a spring rattling around in my rear brake drum. Don't think I should wait any longer.
