Got more info on the V7 Sport today re accessories - there will be hard luggage and soft luggage, tankbag, type pressure sensors. Centrestand?

I was hoping for that too. I got a Mandello instead, not my style either but I am happy with it. I put adjustable handlebar risers on it, that helped. It is my last bike purchase just like in the previous thread.

I'm a little surprised they haven't brought out a new cal. Seems to me to be an obvious hole to fill, maybe it's slated for intro late this year.

I assume they've given up on the Cali as I don't think 1400 sales were there and the rest of that market concentrates on bigger and bigger motors.
Sure they're mid sized players from JAPanInc. and Triumph, but those brands also have the giant ones and I suspect most manufacturers think you can't have the little ones without the big.

I sure hope not. I'd still have my 1400 Touring, loved the ride and performance but it was just too big and heavy. Would have loved to see that engine stuffed into a Tonti frame and about 600 pounds, with floorboards and a center stand. Something I could drag out of a ditch by myself, or change a rear tire without a lift.

I want a midsized Ambo/Eldo or Road King too, but it's never gonna happen.
Hell I bought a Road King instead of the 1400 Guzzi partially because the King was and felt physically smaller despite slightly higher mass.
That market is dominated by motors that are nearly, or actually twice the size of the V100, and power output alone is ignored so a V100 wouldn't do. The chassis on bikes in that segment is purposely huge to offer comfort for two large people and a ton of luggage.
So as much a I want something simple, upright, with good classic looks like my V7, maybe a hair bigger and even up to maybe 1000cc, it's just not in the cards.
