Hello,
I've got a 1973 Eldorado, and am switching to police handlebars.
All fine with the clutch cable, but the front brake cable I bought from MG Cycle turns out to be too short.
Listed on their website as being for police bars with a length of 59 inches. This is the cable with the switch for the brake light.
Well it is 59 inches, but that's approx 3 inches too short.
Just checked the other options they sell, and the cable for police handlebars, without the switch, is 63.5 inches !
That's more like what I need, but I do want the switch.
Does anyone know any place else that might sell such a cable ?
Ideally in Europe.
I might have to get something custom made.

I've never had any issues using that cable, perhaps your "police" 'bars are longer/wider than original?

You never know.
I got the handlebars from Stein-Dinse, and their part number matches that for police handlebars, 1360 0340, which I got from the parts catalog on the Cycle Garden website.

I've given up for this evening but will try again tomorrow.
From the bracket where the switch rests down to the brake drum is fine it's the section from the brake lever to the switch which seems short, no matter how I route it.
