It seems to me there is a lot of play in the shift linkage? Has anyone else noticed this? 2023 v7 stone with only 6k miles. When at my dealer today I checked the new bikes on the floor and they were nice and tight!

Anybody know—do the dealers assemble these bikes, or do they come pre-assembled?
How many miles have you put on the bike?

Sorry, meant to also ask—what part are you noting that there’s excess play? The shift linkage obviously has multiple points of movement.

Both the bottom where it bolts behind the foot peg and the upper arm, I have a short video but can’t attach , I think file is too big.

The bottom joint looks too loose to me. the remainder looks normal. My 7 had similar issue at the lower joint, but i found that the bolt was actually loose.
i diss assembled and greases every thing then re-assembled, and made sure that lower bolt was snugged up. I can't recall if the lower pivot is a bush or bearing, but it's been fine for quite a while.
not a huge fan of all those levers, pivots and direction changes, but kinda necessary when your tranny is mounted as it is.

Thanks, that what I thought, the MG exploaded diagram shows a bushing with some sort of washer on either side. The nut was snuggled up pretty good, so I’m guessing something is wearing out.

My initial reaction was "something's not been lubed: that's a lot of play".
I guess that your gear shifts ain't exactly positive clicks. :undecided:

I’ve had similar issues with my V7’s . I solved it by removing the foot peg & shift lever assembly to get adequate access so as to snug up the lever . I also drilled a 1/8inch hole in the lever so as to be able to get a bit of grease in there once a year or so . No issues in 4 years
