I recently replaced the front caliper on my V7 mkIII. When trying to bleed I can't get any pressure at the brake lever. It pushes a tiny bit of fluid down through the nipple into the bleeder hose, but I am getting no air and no pressure. Tried reverse bleed with a syringe, but I can't get any fluid to go into the system from down below.been at it a long time and cannot figure out what is wrong. Any thoughts?

* Is this replacement caliper brand new, gently used, old? Are you sure that the caliper pistons and seals are good on it?
* how old are the brake hoses?
* have you tapped around the ABS unit to see if air might be stuck in there?

Remove the caliper from the fork leg and wedge something solid between the pads ( wood shim, wrench etc.). Place the caliper on a suitable platform such as a barstool higher than the ABS pump then try bleeding it.
I had the same issue with my rear brake after installing a pressure switch for the Sato rear sets. After removing the rear caliper and raising it to about the level of the rear shock top mount it bled out a little air with maybe two pumps.

Caliper locked up and wouldn't let go. My son occasionally rides the bike, so I was more comfortable buying new OEM than rebuilding. This is the initial bleed after replacement of the caliper. Brakes worked fine before the caliper failure. Brake hoses are original (2018) but look to be in great shape. I have tapped a good bit on all the parts of the system, and no luck yet.

Have you done a reverse bleed process—injecting the fluid in through the caliper bleed nipple? Those front calipers aren’t as difficult to work on as the rear due to the rear’s upside-down position. With the caliper mounted in its normal spot, I would pump fluid through the bleed nipple until you have to draw fluid out of the reservoir a few times, and then draw some fluid back through the syringe to try and make sure you get as much of the air pockets around the pistons as you can. As always, ensure a tight connection around the nipple by spotting the hose to the nipple and only cracking it open (I do no more than a 1/4 turn). I also know that those ABS pumps can be a little tricky if they get a good bit of air in them.
