Anyone have the original Bosch number for this pump?
My aftermarket one is failing after 5 years (30K miles).
So I'd like to get an original if possible.
Someone said Bosch 0580464048.
I'd like to confirm that.

Thank you. That's just what I was looking for. Part is now on order. Guess I bought his last one.

I bought a 98 EV in Denver Colorado. I rode it over the mountains to a Rally. it would bog down going up the hills.
Since I had to ride all the way back to Vancouver BC I figured I'd better do something about it or I'd never get home.
I finally figured out the fuel filter was so plugged up the fuel couldn't get to the injectors.
I took the filter off and back flushed out nearly a cup full of rust, after that the bike ran flawlessly all the way home and until I sold it.
Another problem I had with the bike, it was fitted with the crappy carbon core spark leads, this caused it to miss on one cylinder,
new copper core leads fixed that problem.

I would have worried about the source of the rust and if it would repeat.
Sounds like the classic problem of a moat drain being plugged allowing rain/wash water into the tank and rusting the interior.
Surprised it ran at all. Rust should have plugged the little pencil filter on the petcock intake.

Yes, the dreaded moat drain as you say, when I had time I cleaned that out as per your instructions :thumb:
I should have realized there was something wrong when I picked up the bike in Denver, the pump was extra noisy struggling to pump through a clogged filter.
It was the only Guzzi available and I needed transport back to BC.
