Got the stepbrothers out for a photo op. I recently got a '24 Triumph Scrambler 400X, mainly for my daughter to ride. I trailered it down to NC yesterday, and brought the V7 up today. It's finally getting close to the 900-mile break-in service (only took me 13 months!), which is why I wanted to bring it up, so I'll be taking it to the dealer in the next few weeks. Rode it around today for about an hour, and the shift from neutral to first is SO much smoother than the jerky clunk on the V100. Nice to have the family back together !

Mine are still split up, but here is the southern contingent with an interloper..... How ODD it is that my garage has all 3 of the primary axis countries in WW2....
I call this my garage of orphans. All were unwanted or unused.
1979 XS1100 - bought in 1984 with 200 miles on it. Original owner was scared to death by it and it sat in his garage for 5 years
1976 Convert - Sat for 10 years unridden
2008 1200 Sport - To heavy for prior owner was just sitting
2004 Breva 750 - Intended for a daughter, bike just sat for 10+ years
1976 912E - Acquired in 2010 for $250. Had been sitting in the woods since 1996. Windows open, a rats nest and garbage dump. Did a 5 year full resto-mod restoration.
1989 944S2 - Acquired in 2023 from a family friend who bought it new in 1989 and was a Sunday driver. Got too old, and car sat in heated garage.

Blessed to give these gems a home and care.

I had a 1983 911 SC, which was a "bucket list" car for me. However, had I done my due diligence, I never would've bought that car. I would've gotten the next gen, with the 3.2 engine and G50 trans. The 915 trans in the '83 was the absolute worst transmission I've ever operated in 45+ years of driving, and a class-action lawsuit should've been brought against Porsche for the head studs failing. Beautiful car, but what a money pit...

Like you, I have another axis country car taking up space in my storage unit, does go well with the Guzzis though!

Yes, the 915 is a trip.... Lots of poly bushings between shifter handle and transmission. She doesn't like to be rushed in 1-2 shifts, and double clutching and Swepco lube really helped. My favorite is the racket it makes..... But it's not a race car, and I'm out of 1st relatively early so not too many problems unless of course I don't revmatch when downshifting to 2nd.
