Anyone ever install an "Antivabration bush M6", aka "Rubber isolator well nut"? One on my Bassa popped out and I'm not able to push it all the way back into the metal fitting. Its threads have gotten bunged up too. I plan to order a replacement, but is there any trick to inserting them all the way and having them not spin in the fitting when the bolt into them gets tightened? Use glue as a lubricant when trying to install it?

I had to replace almost all of them on my Ducati's bodywork and I ended up finding a three inch screw the same thread size and thread it in almost all the way to use it as a pusher to get the rubber all the way in the hole. Didn't use any glue or lube and they don't need to be more than snug.
I found replacements at ACE hardware. My $.02

At Ace Hardware? Really? Metric?

I was shocked also as I live in a town of 7500 people and normally anything semi exotic is a few days away. Our ACE has a pretty extensive metric selection including chrome goodies, go figure. McMaster Carr also carries those well nuts.

Also available in lots of configurations at McMaster.com.

My local hardware store had them as "expansion nuts" in SAE. Worked.
