Yesterday changed all fluids in the V85. Today, adjusting carburetor slide needles positions on the 1973 Honda CB 750 chopper. What a pain in the ass that is! lol!

A few things in the works that are finally making headway:
My V7 NTX (V7TT?) build:
After 2 years of stewing and procrastinating, over the rainy weekend I made the caliper relocating plates for these NTX forks that will go onto my V7 III. I built the 21” front and 18” rear wheels last year. Just need a couple shimming washers, some 20W fork oil, slap a rotor onto the rear, and these pups are ready to be installed.

My V9 Monza build:
I decided the Lario wouldn’t be the base for this build for a couple reasons and sold it to a first-time Guzzi owner. Two weeks ago I brought home a 2017 V9 Bobber with only 1300 miles (Mike, if you’re on here—thanks for the great deal!).

Looking forward to dressing it up in a Monza tank, seat, fender, some clubmans or clip-ons, and a cute headlight cowl. Here’s a quick & dirty teaser with the seat somewhat in place (I’ll need to remove the V9’s fender, as it’s too wide for the seat to set down all the way):

Sorting out my new to me 2012 Norge......
CAT bypass, Mistral Can, knight pegs, and sorting out electrical systems, full tuneup and run through, to include cleaning up wiring, adding Tom Tom Power, USB, Heated Gear and Tender leads. Waiting on a new left heated grip and Agostini screen, and then it is on to cosmetics.

My 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 427/4 speed project continues. Lots of great parts are here. The balance of the new parts for the transmission rebuild & conversion to wide ratio arrived today. The short block is coming together. Right now it’s all about getting the compression ratio down a little so a camshaft and valve springs can be ordered. Planning to mill the domes off the pistons, which should lower it from 11.4:1 to about 9.6:1.
(https://i.ibb.co/fGMdBCXX/IMG-2630.jpg) (https://ibb.co/fGMdBCXX)
Still planning to have the car fully assembled and hopefully on the road this year.

I’d leave the compression 11/1 and buy racing fuel in bulk. If you are going to kill a bear kill a griz😈😂

U funny- Btdt.. the well-modified XR1000 we built yrs ago at the shop was just such a beast. Sure was fun to ride. But there's Nothing like a sportster-size tank on a street bike that would only tolerate Aviation gas. If you rode it more than 10-15 miles from the shop, you needed a chase vehicle with a fuel jug in it.
This car has to be pump-gas friendly enough, whatever pump that may be, and we're already making some travel plans for it. Not sure how long it will be until i get my "plain" matching 428/C6 67 Galaxie done.

Be great if it’s ready for the Myrtle Beach car show next spring.
I usually try to get down every year in march for that event.

this 93 carburetor Cali III - cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, just finished rebuilding the brakes. unsure of what to do next. I have free time but no $$$ and it needs $$$... gotta find some pipes for it, clean up the electrics and replace all the brake lines.
after that will decide if it goes back to standard, becomes a mongrel or a Rat or something else all together. Sadly, the current riding position does not work for my gangly beer bellied body, puts my knees on my ears, one kid said i looked like a frog, the other kid said hippo on a balance bike. no dessert this month.

Ever more work on my Bassa restoration. Thoroughly scrubbed engine and lower components so I could see what I'm replacing. Finished the return throttle cable recall install. Also installed new intake rubbers between the throttle bodies and the cylinders. Resumed work on replacing fuel system (pump, filter, supply/vent lines and clamps). Looking forward to cosmetic stuff after this somewhat challenging rubber replacement stuff.
-
Yea! On the T-3 the last items concerns or needs have been addressed. Knock on wood it is now almost showroom both cosmetically and mechanically. Should easily outlast me now. When I can no longer ride and if I don't have someone to pass it on too I will donate it to the annual KS Mennonite auction and hope it goes to a good home. This year upgrades were electronic ignition, all new wiring (Greg Bender Harness), new switches, all LED lighting and foot pegs rewelded on the center stand. Tank and side panels fine wet sanded and buffed. Lafranconi performance mufflers.

What am I working on….hmmmm…where to start….
1st up is a long term project Ducati 900 Supersport. Mostly done collecting parts for it. It’s a 1993 frame but now has a 1997 engine installed. This is my light weight project. All the larger nuts & bolts have been replaced with Ti, others with stainless nuts, bolts etc. Carbon fiber here & there, a 1996 complete front end. Front wheel is off of a 2001 Terblanche era Supersport. Custom machined spacers to fit the 20mm axle. Just paid out for an Öhlins shock from Kyle Racing. It’s a labor of love that I keep getting side tracked from.
2nd is another long term project. My old oil boiler GSXR. It started life as 1992 750. Engine remains unchanged. It’s getting a retro face lift with the bodywork from a 1989. Still musing on the tail section…keep the 1992 but go with a solo saddle or swap out to the 1989 solo saddle? It’s getting a complete new suspension too. I have a worked shock that was revalved in the mid west somewhere. I forget the name of the shop but apparently was a pretty big deal in the mid 2Ks. Buying a later model swing arm for it too. Still gathering parts for it, though the face lift parts are all here. Forks/front end is next. Late model GSXR is the plan.
Aside from those 2….gotta replace fuel lines & filter in my 996 tank. Then new timing belts. Crazy how fast 5 years goes by!! Gotta finish the bodywork for my Mille R after my off in late ‘23. Mostly wet sanding & polishing but also still need to paint the right side air duct. Also doing body work to a new to me bikini fairing for the Monster. Nearly done with it, needs further sanding & filling before a final prime & paint. All the cracks have been fixed tho and the missing part fabricated and welded on.

(https://i.ibb.co/pj1CtmYP/IMG-5839.jpg) (https://ibb.co/pj1CtmYP)
Then there’s the Norge. Nearly finished with all the required maintenance on it. Just have the rear suspension bits to pull apart, clean & lube. Then if I have time I’ll start to address the cosmetics. Not a high priority though. It runs reliably and almost all the niggles that bugged me about it have been sorted. Really it’s just down to the condition of the bags now. It’s spring though so rain intrusion is not currently an issue. That about covers what I’m working in the garage. There’s more, but it’s all boring home kinda stuff.

Given up on getting my T3 ready for the Ruptured Budgie rally (Qld, Australia) in 10 days. Ride is 100km each way.
Been off road 6 months. Replaced triple, replaced a head, installed trispark electronic ignition, installed a new 08 Brembo caliper on rear.
Still needs carbs rebuilt, rear master kit.
PS: anyone else hate bleeding linked brakes?

hoping for more pictures! Nice project!!
Thanks, man.
At the risk of offending those who get offended by such non-Guzzi things, I’ll try to post a few as it progresses & comes together. I’ve accrued some really great rare & correct parts for it. Not trying to build a fake to pass of as a real 427 car, but it should be a very correctly-equipped car for people like me who enjoy such details.
If you’re interested, I am planning to post more video about the project on my car & bike @MotoVecchio youtube channel.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNWFjoMn9-EfP3HV1AZGdQw (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNWFjoMn9-EfP3HV1AZGdQw)
I don’t post much there right now compared to my @carolinasculpturestudio studio channel, but plan to do more in the future as car and bike projects come together.

Nothing that ambitious. Starting another small batch of homegrown. :azn:

Unfortunately, I've been spending a lot of time working on refrigerators and freezers, lately.
It has kept me from resurrecting the California I picked up in November.

Sometimes life just gets in the way. That’s how it goes…and that’s how my 900SS project went from a quick refresh to a 7 year long project….so far. Never intended it but there you go.

Progress on the Norge. Wired the GPS power cord USB plug and trigger for front LED lights into the switched GPS power lead. Also ran the leads for heated gear and trickle charger plug, mounted the LED brake light strip. Still have to mount the lower circular LED brake light (I like to be seen).
Next up is fluids, tuneup and brake pads and check of swing arm and steering bearings, then cosmetics.

Not Guzzi, but my barn find '73 R75/5 Long Wheel Base. Didn't take much to get the bike cleaned up and running. I wanted Wixom bags and mounts on it and that took a bit of work. Also added a Slipstreamer fairing.
