After applying more heat and penetrating fluid, I'm still struggling to remove the pivot pin but the lever is totally freed off, due to pivoting on the casing (not good!). A 3" G clamp was too large to get a decent purchase on the pin - I'll buy a 2" and use a 'stumpy' socket, the next time. I've sourced a cheap pivot pin but would need to remove loads of stuff (centre stand, right lower frame rail etc.), to drill out the existing one. Really hoping not to go down that particular path/rabbit hole.
I've pulled through a replacement after-market clutch cable..
Has anyone got a link and/or pics/photos of the correct routing of the cable?
The cable ends are obvious, as it is to the engine lug and through the V. The right-angled metal top section is particularly tight to speedo and it's the routing from there where I'm uncertain. Additionally, does it pass alongside the wiring, through the plastic grill, or in the lower opening? I was never convinced about the way it was previously done, though ignorantly didn't take pics before I disassembled. :violent1: Jeez, it's only a clutch cable and I've replaced quite a few on other bikes, in the past.
Any help/clarity appreciated.

Many pics of it if you look at them in the workshop/service manual, sometimes you see it in other pics in different parts of book.

I have already taken a brief skim through the PDF though nothing jumped out at me. Not ideal for carpal tunnel and RSI.

Doesn't answer the questions/cover the routing around headlamp & headstock area.
The removed clutch cable has a few chaffed areas along the length, through to the underlying metal in three places, so something wasn't/isn't right.
I will see if I can find where I stashed the original clutch lever, just to double-check but reckon that's a "red herring".
I did closely study one hi-res photo that suggests where I'll try rerouting the cable; inside face of the plastic ignition cover and entering the grill at the top slots, alongside most of the wiring. This will hopefully produce more slack and less slight snaking between the yokes.
