Title: switched rims now axle spacer doesnt fit
Post by: amamet on May 26, 2025, 09:57:48 AM
swapped out a dented rim on my g5 with a spare rim and tire I had.  I swapped over the bearing spacer, discs and disc spacers. now I cant get the wheel installed because it seems the axle spacer is a tad too long, its pushing the fork lower out a little. is it possible the rim center is a bit wider than what I had?  both are boriannis rims, the one I used was from a t3
thx

T3 and G5 spoked wheels are identical. Sounds like you've installed the "disc spacers" (bearing carriers) on the wrong sides. The one with the bearing fully inserted and retained by a circlip goes on the right side (with axle spacer), the one with the bearing out flush with the alloy casting goes on the left (against the shoulder of the axle).
