Title: HDM bliss!
Post by: pehayes on May 26, 2025, 12:54:22 PM
A little display joy for those of you who are lucky enough to have an HDM Guzzi.

For  you noobies, the HDM refers to HOT DOG and MUSTARD.  A true nickname for a color combination only offered on the 1998 1100 EV.
Shunned at first, the HDM is now a collectors version!  It was even used as the cover image on the owner's manual regardless of which color bike  you actually bought.  Somewhere I have a picture of an HDM Guzzi parked in front of a WienerMobile.  Can't find it.  Maybe someone else has it handy.

There were small ones for sale on the trailer channel, just what the HDM owner needs. Very famous model.

A friend of mine has one that is still like showroom in spite of having 130K miles on it. He bought it brand new and has been garage kept the entire time. Unfortunately he can't ride anymore due to a stroke paralyzing his left arm. We only met because we passed each other on the road and I instantly recognized that unique paint job. I turned around and chased him down.

Was this it? I believe this was from one of our fellow riders, Bill.

No Bill (although that is nice).  The picture I seek is a full sized WienerMobile with a Guzzi HDM parked along side and a small toy WienerMobile on the seat of the Guzzi.  I'll track it some day.

I am blaming Patrick.

A very well cared for 1 owner with Givi bags and only 50 miles from home.  How could I resist!
