Hi All, I am looking to install a MOSFET R/R on my 2008 V7C which is currently over charging (MG would say as per design) at 15.1v. I am in the UK and am struggling to locate a MOSFET that only has 2 yellow wires for a single phase stator. Would I be ok running a R/R designed for a 3 phase stator or would it cause damage to either itself or the other charging system components?
Many thanks in advance for any advice

All you can do is try it.

I wonder if its practical to fit a later 3 phase alternator?

Without looking further into it right now, this is where a bunch of us bought Mosfet units for our 2013-14 MkI 1TB V7s (Stones and Specials).

Oh crap ... Nope, revision coming in shortly.

My V7c is a 2TB but only a single phase stator which seems to be pushing out the right voltage from the 2 yellow wires but both the Ducati Energie R/R i have are giving 14.1-4v at idle but 15.0-1v at revs, now reading threads on here its as per MG design but id like to get a MOSFET for peace of mind ans was thinking, would a R/R designed for a 3 phase be ok?
Cheers

Sorry - edit from my above reply.
It's been almost 10 years since we did it and I had the source wrong in my mind.
Here's the unit we used and the source:

YES, looks like it was for a 3 phase setup and we wired it to our single phase systems.
I just walked out to the garage and confirmed we connected it to our stock harness connectors.
Happy to post pics if it helps.
But the short answer to your question appears to be yes.

Excellent! Thanks Kev 👍
